Mario Garcia, Jr - Chairman & Founder

Mario Garcia, Jr. was born and raised in Tampa, FL, and he continues to maintain his residence and operate his businesses in Hillsborough County. Mr. Garcia is the Chairman and Founder of EMSI, a national medical device company, which he helped establish in 1995 as a start-up business. Presently, EMSI services over 70,000 patients and employs approximately 400 people.

In 2004, Mr. Garcia, as CEO and Managing Partner, formed Validus Group Partners Ltd. (“Validus Group”), an investment firm based in Tampa, Florida that develops, owns and manages real estate and real estate related businesses. Validus Group and its affiliates employ over 1,000 people and currently operate or manage companies with assets under management in excess of $1.7 billion. In 2014, Mr. Garcia founded Validus Group Properties, an affiliate of Validus Group, which owns and manages over 620,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial real estate throughout the Southeast.

Mr. Garcia was a Founder of Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT, Inc. (“CVMCR”) and Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II, Inc. (“CVMCR II"), serving on the Board of Directors for CVMCR. Additionally, he served as a member of the Investment Management Committees of Carter Validus Advisors, LLC and Carter Validus Advisors II, LLC. While on the Board of Directors, Mr. Garcia assisted with the sale of CVMCR’s entire data center portfolio, resulting in approximately $1.3 billion in net proceeds. He then helped successfully negotiate the merger of CVMCR with CVMCR II in October 2019, creating an entity valued at approximately $3.2 billion. In September 2020, Mr. Garcia helped successfully negotiate the sale, from Carter Validus Advisors II, LLC, and its various affiliates to CVMCR II, of all the assets necessary to operate and internalize all of CVMCR II’s external management functions (the “Internalization Transaction”).

Mr. Garcia was a Founder and serves on the Board of Managers of Validus/Strategic Capital, LLC, a broker / dealer specializing in alternative investment solutions and advisory services. Additionally, Mr. Garcia was a Founder of Strategic Capital Fund Management, LLC, the Sponsor of Strategic Data Center Fund, LLC (“Strategic Data Center”), and Strategic Wireless Infrastructure Fund, LLC (“Strategic Wireless”). Strategic Data Center focuses on acquiring, developing, and managing data center real estate assets, while Strategic Wireless focuses on acquiring, building, and managing wireless telecom infrastructure assets. Mr. Garcia currently serves on the Investment Management Committee of Strategic Wireless Infrastructure Funds Management, LLC, the fund manager to Strategic Wireless.

In 2013, Mr. Garcia was a Founder of Validus Senior Living, which specializes in independent, assisted living and memory care services throughout the Southeast United States. Validus Senior Living is an owner, operator, and third-party manager of 21 Senior Living communities comprised of over 2,000 units and 2,300 beds.

Mr. Garcia served as the founding Chairman of GulfShore Bank, a Tampa Bay area community bank focused on serving small to medium sized companies that he helped start in 2007. He served as a board member at both the Bank and the Bank's holding company from 2007 until April 2017, when he helped successfully negotiate the company's sale to publicly traded Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida (NASDAQ: SBCF).

Mr. Garcia is active in the Tampa Bay community. He serves on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Foundation Board. Mr. Garcia and his businesses support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries, and a variety of other charitable foundations.

Dean Muley is a Tampa , Florida native who received his BS BA from the University of Florida. Dean has worked at the executive management level both with operations as well as sales . Having 25 years experience, Dean has received numerous commendations for his high level of customer service and his leadership. As Divisional President of EMSI Dean leads a team of professionals who provide outstanding service nationally. Mr. Muley is a member of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay focusing on business leadership and todays culture . Mr. Muley donates his time and effort as a coach for children sports and is involved in many charitable and fundraising events.

Gretchen Dacey-Zavalianos, Esq. - Executive Vice President of Operations

Gretchen Dacey-Zavalianos, Esq, Vice President of Operations: Gretchen was born in Massachussetts but has made Tampa her home for over 10 years. Gretchen joined EMSI in May of 2007. Gretchen is responsible for overseeing Operations which includes Billing, Patient Support Services, Customer Service, Medicare, and Accounts Receivables. She is also responsible for reviewing contracts, legal documents and correspondence, administering and implementing EMSI Corporate Compliance Program and Corporate representation. Gretchen has over 15 years in the healthcare industry and most recently was the Director of Operations for a national Electrotherapy Device company. Gretchen donates her efforts to benefit Foster Angels charitable organization. Gretchen earned her BA from the University of New Hampshire, her Masters in Psychology from Lesley College, and her J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law.

Yorlan Alfonso - Vice President of Finance

Yorlan Alfonso, Vice President of Finance: Yorlan was born in Cuba, but has been in Tampa, Florida for over 30 years. Yorlan received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from University of South Florida and his Masters of Business Administration from St. Leo University. Yorlan has been with EMSI for over 10 years and has had extensive financial background prior to EMSI. Yorlan is responsible for the development, interpretation, maintenance and implementation of Company financial policies and procedures. Financial and business plan development and execution. Yorlan is a member of the Florida Institute of CFO's (fiCFO), a protected thought leadership, member-driven organization of CFOs of Florida's largest companies.

Rossana Cielo - Vice President of Business Development

Rossana Cielo was born in Venezuela and raised in Miami, Florida where she and her family currently live. Rossana is a trained medical/surgical nurse who previously practiced in South Florida and Italy. In Italy she practiced as part of a highly specialized vascular surgical team. She returned to the United States in 1996 and began working in the area of managed care. In 1999, Rossana joined a national healthcare company and led their sales and contracting team in the worker's compensation line of business. In 2009, Rossana joined Electrostim Medical Services, Inc. where she serves as Vice President of Business Development. Rossana currently oversees contracting, payor relations, contracted revenue cycle management, and state compliance. In addition to working with EMSI, Rossana and her husband have raised three children and are very involved in the community's cultural and local philanthropic organizations including University Miami's Cancer Link.

David Muley - Senior Vice President of Sales East

David Muley is a Tampa Florida native where he and his wife are raising their two daughters and two sons. David attended the University of Tampa where he earned a bachelors degree in Exercise Science. He played baseball at University of Tampa where his leadership and skill earned him membership into the University of Tampa Hall of Fame. David currently leads EMSI's sales efforts for the Eastern US. Under David's leadership, EMSI has entered multiple states. David has been with EMSI since 2002 and the strengths in his role are his working knowledge of each position with in the sales organization, as well as his dedication to improving physical limitations. David currently holds responsibilities as the Vice President of Sales for the Eastern US.

Bryan Wilkinson - Senior Vice President of Sales West

Bryan Wilkinson is a native Texan, and currently lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his wife and two sons. Bryan majored in business administration, and graduated magna cum laude from Northwood University. He served as Vice President of Sales for a privately held corporation in the automotive, banking, and finance industry from 1994 to 2003. Bryan then took his experience and expertise in sales to EMSI, where he has led his sales team since 2003. Bryan holds the position of Vice President of Sales. Under Bryan's leadership, the Western United States has seen record setting growth, and the opening of 20 new states for EMSI. In addition to his dedication to EMSI, Bryan has served on the board of an international leather Company since 2010. Bryan is an avid sports enthusiast and along with his wife, they closely follow their two son's sports endeavors. As a family, they are involved in their local church, and actively participate in WACKY WARRIORS, a national organization bringing awareness for children and young adults with cancer.
