Mario Garcia, Jr - President & CEO
Mario Garcia, Jr. was born and raised in Tampa. He continues to maintain his residence and operate businesses in Hillsborough County.
Mr. Garcia is the President and CEO of EMSI, a company that he established in 1995. With the company starting in Tampa, Fl, he has since grown the company to employ people all over the country. Mr. Garcia also founded Validus Group, which develops and manages real estate. As Validus Group CEO, Mr. Garcia manages over 25 million dollars in assets in retail, office, industrial space, and raw land. In addition, Mr. Garcia is one of the founding board members and Chairman of Gulfshore Bank, a local community bank focusing on small to medium size companies.
Mr. Garcia is active in the community where he serves on several boards and supports a variety of charitable foundations. Currently, he is on the executive board of the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), and is an active participant on the Finance Committee and is the Chairman of National Hispanic Scientist of the Year Committee. He is also a member of Vistage, a networking group of CEO managing business throughout the community. Mr. Garcia and his businesses also support News in Education, Adopt-A-School Program, The Kids’ Wish Network, The Special Olympics, Florida Institute of Community Studies, Junior Achievement, Cattle Barron’s Cancer.
Dean Muley - Executive Vice President
Dean Muley, Executive Vice President: Dean Muley is a Tampa, Florida native who received his BS BA from the University of Florida. Dean has worked at the executive management level both with operations as well as sales. Having 20 years experience, Dean has received numerous commendations for his high level of customer service and his leadership. As the Executive Vice President of EMSI, Mr. Muley leads a team of professionals who provide outstanding service nationally. Mr. Muley donates his time and effort as a coach for children's sports for the local YMCA.
Gretchen Dacey-Zavalianos, Esq. - Vice President of Operations
Gretchen Dacey-Zavalianos, Esq, Vice President of Operations: Gretchen was born in Massachussetts but has made Tampa her home for over 10 years. Gretchen joined EMSI in May of 2007. Gretchen is responsible for overseeing Operations which includes Billing, Patient Support Services, Customer Service, Medicare, and Accounts Receivables. She is also responsible for reviewing contracts, legal documents and correspondence, administering and implementing EMSI Corporate Compliance Program and Corporate representation. Gretchen has over 15 years in the healthcare industry and most recently was the Director of Operations for a national Electrotherapy Device company. Gretchen donates her efforts to benefit Foster Angels charitable organization.
Gretchen earned her BA from the University of New Hampshire, her Masters in Psychology from Lesley College, and her J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law.
Yorlan Alfonso - Comptroller and Chief Compliance Officer:

Yorlan Alfonso, Comptroller & Chief Compliance Officer: Yorlan was born in Cuba, but has been in Tampa, Florida for over 30 years. Yorlan received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from University of South Florida and his Masters of Business Administration from St. Leo University. Yorlan has been with EMSI for over 5 years and has had extensive financial background prior to EMSI. Yorlan is responsible for the development, interpretation, maintenance and implementation of Company financial policies and procedures. Financial and business plan development and execution. Yorlan is a member of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Development Committee.
